Live your best life

Don’t let your journey be dictated by someone else.

We have given far too much power to other things that influence. For the longest time I never realized it and was such a “normal thing” I lived life like.

News, TV, Netflix, music, professors, coworkers, colleagues, friends, even family will run us ragged if we let them. Turning it off / realigning each area has tuned off anxiety, overwhelming thoughts. God has to be my loudest voice, if not sooner or later I could fall into any mental disorder category. Life is too hard and crazy too handle it all without my outlet.

ive learned and as I’ve been trying to educate myself and read about relationships I more and more come to dfind how important balance really is. Balance is one of the hardest things I can live by, but trying my best to do so has a better outcome; in every aspect. As I am writing this it’s so hard to get all these thoughts in my brain running 1000 mph. Although the point I want to is advocating. According to Dharius Daniels‘ book Relational Intelligence, he explains how important it is to advocate for yourself. Now, this is a Godly man of plenty hats with the same amount of hours in a day as the rest of us, yet he is only able to fill al of these roles because of advocatimngr for himself. He is not cocky about it, or rude about it but he teaches and sets the example on when to speak up or say no. im not trying to put anyone‘s dreams and aspirations down but you can’t do it all. That’s why famous people hire people and that’s one thing they do right that I agree on. J.Lo didn’t get where she’s at without the help of her people. The same God wants us to be good stewards with our time in order to fulfill our God given potential. I myself am guilty of wasting so much time scrolling through social media, watching a show or telenovel that honestly has no fruit/productivity. We have to learn how to balance our life and time playing out the pros and cons with our actions. Watch another episode of Narcos that will teach me about illegal contraband and murders or read on how to manage my time better.

The same goes with who are we hangout out with, what music are we listening to and singing, and how are we eating? Will I eat Mcdonals or could I make myself a cleaner hamburger at home with better ingredients that won’t make me feel like 💩 afterwards. Are the people in my circle elevating me and want better for me and tell it how it is not what I want to hear or tell me what I want to hear and then talk smack after I leave?

A few years ago I wasn’t paying any mind to these things but definitely know these influences would have dictated my journey a lot different. Needless to say, I am thankful for these experiences or else I would have never learned and lived the effects of them or be on the other side. Time is far too precious to waste it with nonsens. don’t get me wrong, I‘ll still watch an episode here and there, but I’ve decided that binging anything will lead me to a fall place. It’s isolating, no soul feeding, and easily welcomes doubt for loosing sight on my vision. Then if you really want to know more, it’s a rabbit hole to other unhealthy emmotions: depression, anxiety, fear etc.
